Create Artistic Photos with XnSketch

Yep, that’s right! Transforming your students into the new DaVinci on the block goes something like this: Take a picture, snag one from the photo library or grab one from the cloud (Flickr, Picasa or Facebook) and let the fun begin! Once the image is selected, users can choose an effect from about 20 options then adjust the brightness, contrast and saturation before saving and sharing the finished product via email and/or a variety of social media favorites, including Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, Instagram and Tumblr. Images can also be saved to Dropbox, and users also have the option to create a PDF that can also be shared through an email message.

One of the best features of XnSketch is that users have the capability of exporting photos to other apps—Skitch, Edmodo, PhotoStudio, ToonCamera and BokehPic—for additional tweaking and/or usage. Is that cool or what?

Check out an example created with XnSketch using a photo of a few of my “brighter” Tech Club kids. I have a feeling this is going to be an interesting year with these two—ha, ha!

Classroom Connection:

Use XnSketch in conjunction with any project or activity that requires the use of an image to convey an idea/concept: Digital stories, reports, posters, advertisements, comic strips, wikis and/or blogs. XnSketch can also be used to create interesting photos for a #edugood 365 Photo Project!

So, what’s not to like? Download a copy of XnSketch today and watch your students make their photos extra fun!
