Cool Tools for the 21st Century Classroom

The Techapalooza Teacher Toolbox

August9

OK, so you weren’t able to attend the Techapalooza Teaching and Learning Institute earlier this week at California University of PA. Of course, you missed out on a fabulous opportunity to learn about the latest and greatest tech tools for the classroom. But the good news is that you can still join the fun “virtually” by checking out the Techapalooza wiki containing tons of resources that can be added to your teacher toolbox.  Some of the categories include:

» Super Teacher Tools
» Discovery Education & Thinkfinity
» Elementary Sites & Tools
» There’s an App for That!
» Teaching with Primary Sources & Common Core Standards
» Lesson Sparklers
» Educational Robotics
» And much more!

So, where are the links for this treasure trove of ideas? Well, just hover over the Thinglink image embedded below to view the “hotspot” providing you with access to this amazing resource!  Be sure to check out the additional “hotspots” for a bunch of neat ways Thinglink can be integrated into your classroom. As you may have guessed, it’s one of my new favorite “cool tools”!

A high five to Stevie Kline, IU1 Tech Integrator, for making this event possible and a huge thank you to all of the participants who attended my sessions, became an Edutech for Teachers Facebook fan, subscribed to my RSS feed and/or joined my “Cool Tools” mailing list.  I hope I can continue to provide useful resources for you throughout the upcoming school year!

BTW—I utilized the Pocket Labeler app to add the text to my photo.
