Edu-fun Friday: It’s an iPad Made of Trees!

June28

its an ipadAs Quincy Jones once remarked, “I’ve always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying, “Ain’t that the truth.”

That said, Edu-fun Friday is a series devoted to adding some humor to the lives of teachers who visit this blog. Even though it’s summer, there’s still nothing better than ending the week on a positive note—right?

When I saw this comic, I laughed—out loud—but then I got a bit nostalgic. With all of the advances in technology that occur on a daily basis, I thought how sad that many children of today might never experience reading an actual book, magazine or newspaper. Heck, most of them already have no clue how to read or write cursive or know what camera film or a landline is—ha, ha! I wonder what other differences today’s technology will make in the lives of the next generation. Both scary and exciting, eh?

Anyway, thanks to Debbie Ridpath Ohi and Paul Carroll for the giggle!
