As Quincy Jones once remarked, “I’ve always thought that a big laugh is a really loud noise from the soul saying, “Ain’t that the truth.”
That said, Edu-fun Friday is a series devoted to adding some humor to the lives of teachers who visit this blog. After all, there’s nothing better than ending the week on a positive note! Plus, do we have the best topics to provide us with some comic relief or what?

So, yeah, I get it. This image doesn’t really apply to the edtech setting—other than it reinforces the obsession the general population has with mobile devices—but with summer vacation rapidly approaching, it’s not only hilarious, but so, so true. I bet if you visit a beach over the next few months, you might even catch a glimpse of these 21st Century tan lines! Maybe even on one of your students, colleagues and/or yourself—ha!

Maybe it’s my twisted sense of humor, but this one produced a laugh out loud moment for me—probably because I feel exactly like this on days when I’m trying to convince others that devices suchas iPads really do have educational value. ***Sigh!
OK, so it’s not really an edtech comic, but it’s funny nevertheless. And considering that today is the beginning of the last full and totally crazy month of the school year (in most districts anyway), teachers may actually find this strategy to be very useful–ha!

In any event—be an edtech gladiator. And keep fighting the good fight!

My dog deleted it! Just what we need—another excuse regarding why students don’t complete their homework. Help us!

Too bad life wasn’t that simple… Or maybe it is, and we just unnecessarily complicate it. Irregardless, have a great day/weekend—and choose to be happy!
Well, you can’t get to May and June without going through April, which means yes—you’ll most likey have to endure some of those harmless pranks and hoaxes associated with April Fool’s Day—spiders in your desk, a plastic snake on your chair, or some mystery student messing with your computer mouse via a USB remote. Um, yep—I’m speaking from experience. So, if you’re one of those educators who enjoys having a little bit of fun with your students, then check out the resources below.
Use these resources to teach students about the history behind April Fools Day. And while you’re at it, add some comedy to your day by having some harmless foolproof fun with your students and colleagues. As Charles Dickens once said, “There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor.”

And on top of that, I needed a laugh this morning when I had to take my dogs for our daily jaunt in three inches of snow (and counting) on the first day of spring! What the what?
Anyway, I guess this comic points out that our teaching jobs are secure after all… Ha!
