Cool Tools for the 21st Century Classroom

Go Bananas with Math Chimp

April19

Need a one-stop shopping site for free math games?  Then look no further than Math Chimp, a collection of online math activities organized by grade level as well as objectives found in the Common Core Standards.  Yep it’s true!  No more endless searching for the best web site to teach, practice and/or reinforce a particular math skill.  Instead dial up Math Chimp, select the desired grade level (1-8), and just like magic dozens of choices are generated!  Another useful feature is that in addition to math site suggestions, Math Chimp lists the Common Core standards for the grade level chosen and provides users with the option to filter the list of math games by objective.  Pretty sweet!

Kudos to Jennifer Malone, author of the Educational Insights blog, for sharing this “cool tool”!

Classroom Connection:

Use Math Chimp as a fun and engaging classroom resource to practice and/or reinforce math skills.
