Veterans Day Resources

November7

Remember Veteran's DayVeterans Day is an official United States holiday honoring the men and women who have served in our military forces.

Observed on November 11th, this federal holiday coincides with other events, such as Armistice Day or Remembrance Day, which are celebrated in other parts of the world.

Why November 11? Because on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918 World War I formally ended when the when the Armistice with Germany went into effect.
