Classroom Connection:
Yep, it’s true! The use of technology as a teaching tool has come a long way. Now more than ever, most educators have access to a wealth of web resources, mobile devices, and apps that can enhance the teaching and learning process. Yet, unfortunately, there are still many teachers who resist integrating technology into their lessons, projects and activities.
As an instructional technology coach, I believe that whether individuals like it or not, technology is not going away. If anything, it’s going to become more and more prevalent—not just in our society but in our schools as well. That said, use this infographic as the basis of a discussion to encourage teachers to step out of their comfort zones and embrace the incorporation of digital tools into their curriculum.
The infographic could also be used as a visual writing prompt and/or to spark a conversation about the evolution of educational technology. Students could debate whether or not the use of digital tools has an impact on their learning. They could also discuss what developments they foresee in the next decade.
By the way, infographics can make really neat classroom posters too! Use the Block Posters web tool to create your very own!
